DETAINED relies on the contributions of expert authors to maintain its content. We welcome articles for publication on the blog that focus on one or more of the following themes: Alternatives to Detention, Deportations, Detention, Pushbacks and Border Violence, Undocumented Migrants (including Regularization). The articles should relate to one or more countries in South-Eastern Europe, and/or be of direct interest to experts, policy makers and/or migrant rights advocates working on or in region.
The articles should be written in English. We accept both expert analyses and commentary, research-based and journalistic types of materials, with recommended length of 1000-1500 words.
Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with Submission – Detained in the subject line, if you are considering submitting an article. Please describe briefly the content and length of the planned submission, and provide a 3-4 sentence bio paragraph of the author. Please indicate whether the material has been published elsewhere and whether permission has been obtained to re-publish the article on DETAINED. Original publication source will be acknowledged.
